Event Description

Participants will explore adversities in science, unexpected crises, and methods of dealing with them. The presentation should be comprehensive, including research, analysis, facts, figures and solutions.
 

Rules and Procedures:

  • First Come, First Serve – Early Birds: The first 10 registrations will be accepted.

  • Round 1: Presentation

  • Teams are expected to present a scientific adversity or crisis and prepare a presentation on overcoming it.

  • Example  : The Lab Outbreak: A research facility faces a sudden outbreak of an unknown pathogen among its staff. Participants must devise a crisis management plan to contain the outbreak, protect personnel, and minimize disruption to ongoing research projects.

  • Participants must navigate the crisis by identifying alternative sources, adjusting experimental protocols, and communicating effectively with research teams to minimize delays and maintain project timelines.

  • Participants must thoroughly study a real event with facts and figures or create a

       hypothetical scenario with their own creativity.

  • Presentations should be impactful and may include a PowerPoint along with   

      models or other aids as deemed necessary to enhance the presentation.

  • No additional participants are allowed.

  • Participating schools will be informed of the topic by 11th July 2024.

  • The PowerPoint presentations must be emailed to the school by 15th July 2024 to npsyprgoonj@gmail.com.

  • No changes will be allowed on the final day of the presentation.

 

  • Round 2: Relay Round

  • The Relay Round consists of a 15-minute written questionnaire.
